Curtain Up on Act One! Moss Hart’s Story Opens on Broadway

Act One, written and directed by James Lapine, celebrates its Broadway opening on April 17 at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater. The play brings to life the story of of Moss Hart, from childhood to Pulitzer-winning playwright and director. To commemorate the play’s opening night, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson sketched this portrait of Moss Hart at various stages of his life and the people that affected his legendary career.

The sketch, from left to right, features Tony winner Andrea Martin as Aunt Kate, Matthew Schechter and Tony nominees Santino Fontana and Tony Shalhoub as Moss Hart and Shalhoub once more as George S. Kaufman.
